Since that date, we have had choice words for each other every time we meet. I had no idea he was related to the Hennessy family, let alone Clayton. I feel for Clayton.

I’d be pissed, too, if I had that type of filth related to me. Yet, the steam coming off him at the moment tells me this is deeper than what happened before my eyes this evening. At least what I saw with the naked eye.

He’s silent the entire ride back to the apartment as well as the ride up in the elevator. I’m ready to give up on getting through to him tonight. I start for the bedroom after he lets me into the front door.

Only, as I make my way in that direction, his arm bands around my waist, plucking me off my feet. A yelp leaves my lips as I cling to his forearm. We’re moving toward the stairs that lead down to the floor beneath us.

I rarely go down to the other levels. There’s so much apartment for me to occupy on the top floor. However, my curiosity rises as he descends the stairs.

“Clay, what are you doing?” I ask while bouncing against his side.

He just grunts at me. I can still feel the anger rolling off him, but there’s something else. I think about kicking and protesting, but I’m not looking to break any bones—his or mine.

My brows knit when he turns up a hallway and walks to the very last door. I hear more than see keys jingle. The next thing I know, he’s pushing the door open, revealing the last thing I expect.

The room is painted a lush gold color, the walls shimmer as the lights automatically come on. Anchoring the back wall of the large room is a huge bed covered in a red spread. Shear gold fabric hangs from the four posts, but what gets my attention is the golden chair swing in the center of the room. I tilt my head looking at it, blinking to focus on what I think I’m seeing.

“Are those…cuffs?” I ask, looking at the set of gold restraints dangling from the swing’s sides and the set resting in its red seat.

He doesn’t respond, instead, placing me on my feet. I’ve lost a shoe in the process. I swing my gaze around the room and bite my lip as I take in the gold cabinet doors. My imagination runs wild.

I start to think of a way to get this room into one of my next blogs or books. I’m so absorbed with taking it all in I forget Clayton until he snakes his hand around my throat. He doesn’t squeeze hard, but it’s enough to get my attention.

“You should’ve read the contract, Sid,” he hisses in my ear.

“What?” I gasp.

“Do you know you signed your body over to me?” he asks in an eerily dark voice.

“Clay, what the—”

His fingers flex, cutting off my words. I purse my lips and roll my eyes, even though he can’t see my face. I curse my body when it melts into him as he pulls me closer to his heat. I hobble on my one heel, my back pressed to his front.

“You will watch that pretty mouth, Sid. When I’m fucking you mindless is the only time you’re allowed to let that dirty mouth slip,” he demands.

I nearly tell him to fuck himself just to see what he’ll do. The words never make it out of my mouth. He tips my head back roughly, capturing my lips.

The kiss is the most possessive I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t do anything but anchor my fingers in his hair and hold on. My knees go weak, I feel him in every part of me. My bare toes curl into the plush surface beneath them as my others curl in my shoe.

I feel like I’m drowning in him. Those feelings I’ve been trying to deny are swirling their way forward. I want to pull away and curl away from the fire that’s Clayton, but it’s calling me to go up in smoke. It whispers for me to come forward like a snake charmer. I’m powerless against it.

Wordlessly, he breaks the kiss and turns my back fully to him. A ripping sound fills the room. In a single tug, my beautiful dress is in ruins at my feet. I stare down in shock. I’m left in just a blue corset, panties, and a single shoe.

“Clay, the hell,” I gasp.

With an action swifter than I knew the man could move, he’s seated in the swing in the center of the room and I’m across his lap. I don’t have time to catch my breath before his hand comes down on my ass. I suck in a sharp breath before releasing a moan as he caresses, then kneads the spot he just slapped.
