She moaned as he spread her lips with his hand, massaging her with his palm.

It felt so good.

Her breathing quickened, her heart racing.

More. She wanted more.

“That’s my good girl. Come here. I want you to sit on me as long as it’s comfortable for you.” He drew her onto his lap so that her legs were behind his back. Then he reached down to lightly rub her clit. He rolled it between his finger and thumb before he started to circle it. Clockwise for several long, slow movements. Then counter clockwise.

“Stare up at me. Right into my eyes. That’s it. You are so gorgeous. Inside and out. Kind and sweet. And mine. All mine. Do you want to try touching yourself?”

“I don’t. I don’t know.”

“Put your hand down here. Feel where my fingers are. That’s it. Feels good, doesn’t it? No, don’t close your eyes. Look at me. I know it’s hard. But I want you to see how much you mean to me. Good girl.”

She could feel herself reaching for that edge. Where she was about to come. But then her brain came up with this huge stop sign. She couldn’t do it. She wasn’t going to be able to come.

“No. Listen to me, baby. You have this. It’s your body. Just play with your clit. Move your finger over your clit, up and down, then round. Good girl. Don’t worry. It doesn’t matter if you come or not.”

But it did. Because she needed to come. She was going to cry if she didn’t get to come soon.

“If you don’t come, then Daddy will take good care of his girl. I promise. I’m not going to leave you wanting.”

It spurred her on, she moved her finger faster as he drove two fingers inside her, shifting them around until he found that spot that she loved. And then he slid them out, bringing them up to his mouth.

Oh fuck.

Hell yes.

She shattered. It was intense and it stole her breath as she shook and panted. She buried her face against his chest as he held her, whispering words of praise to her that probably should have sounded silly since all she did was make herself come.

But she lapped them up. Soaked them up. And hoped that she might one day believe them.

Then he shifted her back against the headboard and spread her legs before lying between them.

“W-what are you doing?” she asked him.

“You didn’t think that was the end, did you? I haven’t had my turn yet. And I need to taste you.”

Oh. Hell.

“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me what that asshole, Chad, was saying to you.” Reuben paced up and down the bedroom, fuming.

She sighed from where she was sitting up in bed.

“Dominic told you, then?” Oops.

He stilled. “Yes, he told me. But you should have told me, Andy. And I can’t understand why you didn’t.”

She sighed. “I just thought it was just something I had to put up with until I got my promotion. Then I wouldn’t have to put up with him anymore.”

“I knew the guy was a dick . . . but I didn’t realize he was treating you like that. Not acceptable. I’ll take care of him.”

She could tell him no.

But she wasn’t going to.

“I’m going to miss you,” she told him, changing the subject. “But I’m glad you got to stay here this long.” He’d stopped in to see her one more time before heading back to New York this afternoon.

Seemingly so he could scold her.

Lucky her.

He grunted. “Had things to do here. And Alejandro has been away for a few days, anyway.” He eyed her. “You better be okay now.”

“I will be.”

“I don’t want any more hospital calls. I forbid it. Understand?”

“I promise.” She could tell he was rattled by the fact that her attackers hadn’t been caught yet. A man like Reuben didn’t like being out of control of anything.

“Only reason I believe that is because you have someone looking after you now.”

She huffed out a breath. “Rude.”

“But if he ever lets you down . . . I will take him out.”

She had to grin. “I love you too, Reuben.”

“Why do you have to keep telling me that? We’re not mushy people, Andy.”

“I’m sorry.” She tried to hide her amusement, but could tell she’d failed as he sighed.

“Sure you are.” He sat on the armchair beside the bed. “Juliet gave me hell for not telling her about you. I mean, I told her about Andy. I just failed to mention that Andy was a female named Gwen.”

Her lips twitched at his disgruntled tone.

He sighed and eyed her, sitting back and resting his elbow on the arm of the chair. “You got anything else to tell me?”

“Not that I can think of.”

“No one else you need me to destroy? Because I’m in the mood to take some assholes down.”
