He shut his mouth the second he saw the underground casino was empty. Only two tables with dealers and two waitress remained, and they were fully clothed.
“Hello again, Mr. Luciano,” Sadie said with a smile as he and Lucca sat down and were immediately served drinks. “I heard the good news that you’re taking my girl off the market.”
Dominic might have intended the words to the pit boss, but he was looking at Lucca when he said, “Thank you.”
“Are we supposed to stop this?” Vincent didn’t move his fearful eyes off the girls when he asked his friend.
Amo didn’t have the same concern he did. “Was it in any of the rules Lucca gave you?”
“Well, no, but—”
“Then nah.” Amo relaxed back on the hood of their Escalade. “I say we let this shit play out.”
“Whose car is this?” Chloe asked, scared.
Maria watched as Kat worked on getting the car unlocked. “Sherry’s ex-boyfriend’s.”
“What the hell, Maria!” Not-so-sweet Elle hissed at her, “You want us to commit a felony?”
“No.” Maria shook the big bags of glitter in a rainbow assortment. “We’re just going to add some sparkle.”
“Got it.” Kat opened the door before unlocking all the others.
Giving a bag to each girl, none of them looked too eager to start, except for Kat.
“Don’t worry.” Maria tore open the bag with her teeth, then started dumping the contents into the driver’s seat. “This is perfectly legal property damage.”
Katarina began dumping it into the carpets and smushing it in with her hands so it couldn’t be easily vacuumed out.
Maria addressed the rest of the girls one last time, “He cheated on her with her sister.”
“Fuck it.” Lake started pouring hers into the cupholders.
Adalyn got the cracks between the seat. “Oh, hell no.”
“Asshole.” Elle hit the back seats.
“Sometimes”—Chloe pulled the visor down a bit so the next time he pulled it down it would rain glitter—“you get what you deserve.”
If there is ever a doubt … glitter is always the answer.
Maria opened the door with the girls in tow at exactly the same time she told Lucca they would when she texted him after glittering the cheater’s car. That poor sucker was in for a rude awakening once he realized what all girls knew—glitter was a nightmare to clean. He would be reminded of his exploits even by the hundredth car wash, and having to explain the glitter situation was going to be even better.
Walking into the penthouse, the boys and her place looked exactly like she had left it, except Leo and Cassius were nowhere in sight.
“Howdy, partner.” The words fell from Maria’s lips with a smile when she looked at Dominic.
Instantly, Dominic knew exactly who had sent the strippers.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” Matthias cried in frustration. “She got them, and we turned them down!”
“Got what?” Elle asked, coming over to Nero, not giving him a kiss.
Maria could see the men growing nervous, but seeing the glow in Lucca’s eyes, she decided to spare them. “I bought the guys cakes.”
“Got any left?” Amo asked.
“We didn’t keep them,” Matthias hissed again.
The girls stared at their men strangely.
Maria decided to save them again. “They were shaped inappropriately.”
Vincent looked at the men, appalled. “And you all didn’t fucking keep them?”
Ignoring his friend, Nero looked down at Elle. “Why are you wearing a jersey?”
All the men looked at their prospective woman with scrutinizing gazes, knowing …
“You hate sports.” Angel narrowed his eyes on Adalyn, stating the obvious for all the men in the room.
“You took them to a hockey game?” Lucca asked Maria while staring down a blushing Chloe.
“Yep,” she said proudly as she closed the distance between her and Dominic.
Drago couldn’t look away from his pink-haired wife as he asked the question that was on every man’s mind. “Why the hell would you all go to a hockey game?”
“Maria, honey”—Dominic lifted her chin with a smile, seeming to be the only one who knew exactly why they had gone—“why didn’t you tell me you liked to watch men fight?”
Maria raised an excited brow. “Is that your way of telling me you fight?”
“Oh, princess”—he brought his lips closer to hers—“you have no fucking idea.”
Forty-Eight
Kick His Ass
The girls watched the men move the furniture out of the way with a mixture of emotions. After finding out why they had taken a little trip to the hockey game, the men looked at their women slightly differently, and when the Caruso men overheard Dominic telling Maria he could fight, they wanted him to prove it. All of Kansas City knew of Dom’s skills as a gunman, but only those from Blue Park knew the brutality of his fists.
Maria watched Dominic stand in the middle of the room as everyone sat in a big circle. The action even had Cassius and Leo coming down from upstairs to see what the hell was going on.
