“Like that,” I said, feeling a familiar tingling pressure start to build up.

Rhett’s eyes moved up to watch my chest rise and fall heavily. He lapped at my clit, repeating the same motion that made me tense more and more. He thrusted and curled his fingers in a “come here” motion, pressing against a spot that made my thighs threaten to tighten around his head. He managed to pin one down with his free hand.

“Fuck,” I gasped out as I tilted my head back, moan after moan pouring from me. I couldn’t stop. I was so close, and his mouth and fingers felt too good to resist. I couldn’t stop my impending orgasm if I tried.

Rhett flicked his tongue faster, driving me off the edge after a few more deep presses of his fingers.

I cried out as intense shivers traveled throughout my body. I tugged on his hair desperately as I rode out my orgasm, my cries reduced to whimpers.

Rhett licked me through my orgasm, only pulling away when I started to flinch from the sensitivity. He rose to his feet and crashed his lips against mine, letting me taste myself. He cupped the back of my head, our kissing becoming tender and slow.

I wrapped my legs around his waist, drawing him closer as I wound my arms around his neck. I wanted to hold him there for a lot longer, but I soon heard the familiar sound of water boiling. We broke apart to see that the water was ready, and our Alfredo sauce was done.

“Just in time,” Rhett chuckled before swiping his tongue over his top lip. “Shame on me for having dessert first.”

My face flushed as I smiled at him, rubbing my thighs together to revel in the last aftershocks of my orgasm. I had no idea how I was going to handle being around these guys for much longer. Not only were they driving me crazy physically, but my feelings became twisted up more and more after each lingering kiss and pleasurable touch. Eventually, I had to sort through my feelings, but for now, I had pasta to make.

My romantic crisis could wait until later.

Twigs cracked beneath my boots as Benjamin and I wandered around the woods on patrol. Bird calls echoed all around us, leaves rustling in the gentle breeze as we walked farther and farther away from the cabin where Akio and Rhett were keeping an eye on Emery. As much as I didn’t like putting distance between Emery and me, it was nice to walk around and get some fresh air.

The more time I spent in the cabin, the more prominent my desire for Emery became. But was it really just desire?

I didn’t know how I really felt. All I knew was that she made my heart race uncontrollably, and I wanted to be around her all the time, whether I wanted to protect her, talk to her, or kiss her. It was rare that she left my mind, and it never took long for her to come back.

Who knew how she felt, though? She had been with all of us in some way, and she seemed fine with that. We were fine with that as well because none of us wanted to lose the connection we had with her. Plus, I trusted the others with my life. I knew they would take care of her, and I just wanted her to be safe.

“Why are you so quiet?”

I snapped out of my thoughts as I turned to Benjamin, who lifted an eyebrow at me. I shook my head to brush him off.

“Come on. Is it Emery?” Benjamin asked.

I didn’t say anything, keeping my eyes ahead of me. I mostly kept my thoughts of Emery to myself. Not only was I trying to figure them out for myself, but I didn’t know how the others would react if they found out how I felt about her.

Benjamin grabbed my shoulder to stop me, giving me a pointed look.

“Look, I’m not asking to get you pouring out your heart and soul,” he told me. “I just have a feeling that’s the reason.”

“Why?” I replied as I slightly tilted my head at him. He seemed so sure of himself.

Benjamin shrugged as he glanced around. There was no one around us but miles of trees and shrubs.

“Maybe because she’s on my mind too,” he muttered. “All the damn time. Drives me a little crazy.”

The corner of my mouth curled up slightly before I let out a sigh.

“I don’t want her to get hurt,” I replied. But it was much more than that.

Benjamin nodded his agreement.

“We need to figure this out faster. She’s putting on a smile for us, but I know it’s killing her having to waste her life away in that cabin.”

He was right. We needed to work harder, and I was willing to do anything to get Emery out of this situation.
