He’d come over to hang out with Danny and do the usual boy stuff. Running around, swimming in the pool. Lounging around the TV and playing video games. I saw a lot of him and he became the ideal boy to me, and then the ideal man as he filled out into quite the muscular specimen.

It helped a whole lot that he always treated me so nicely. Most of Danny’s other friends would be assholes to me, telling me to get out and stop being a nuisance. Jennings would stand up for me and try to include me where he could. Always got me a little something when they came back with some fast food too, whether it be ice cream or some French fries. It wasn’t much, but it was always the thought that counted.

When I graduated, I saw the opportunity to join him and Danny in their rodeo circuit and I jumped right in. I knew more than enough about horses to become the rodeo’s barrel racing girl and I’ve enjoyed my time here.

But in a way? The past year has also been hell. I’ve seen Jennings every day, versus maybe once or twice a week before. So my temptations have only risen, and knowing that we’re both good and proper adults now doesn’t help things. The way he looks at me has always inspired hope that perhaps he feels the same, and I try to drop plenty of hints for him to make a move.

After all, maybe he’s just nice, a sweetheart, a gentleman. Every little bit of kindness from a guy doesn’t mean he wants to fuck me.

But with the kiss?

Yeah, all that doubt flies out the window. It’s pretty obvious what he wants, and that’s the same thing that I want.

I lean into it, kissing him back, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and looking his way when it’s over. “Well, well, well, isn’t this a surprise?”

“Glad you’re reacting like this, because I would have really hated to have to explain myself to you just now, June.”

“What’s there to explain? That you’ve wanted me all this time?”

“Maybe. It’d be awkward if I kissed you and you weren’t into it.”

“What part of shaking my ass in front of you did you take wrong? Or maybe you missed the times I walked in front of you in a bikini, over and over again? Or that time I invited you out for dinner on Valentine’s Day?”

“Reasonable explanations for all of those, I’m sure.”

I giggle. “I’m sure there are. But let me spell it out for you now. I’ve always wanted you, Jennings Rowdy. You’ve been my fantasy forever and I want nothing more than for you to take me.”

He looks up at the clock on the wall and my eyes follow his. Oh, we have time. We definitely have time. Neither of us are set to go on for a while.

Jennings takes a step back and his hand goes to the door’s deadbolt. He looks at me, his eyes asking me the question. We both want this, yes, but are we absolutely sure? There’s a desire inside him that wants to get out, that won’t be so easily restrained once it is.

I nod, and he returns the gesture. We’re sending a clear message between one another about our desires. He clicks the lock into place and is immediately back to me. Pulling me close, kissing me harder, more deeply, the passion he shows me is so goddamn intense. His hands wrap around my hips and he hoists me onto a nearby folding table, my legs spreading to accept his advances.

I legitimately came in here for help getting my dress zipped up. But I’m happy with this change of plans, even if the result is the exact opposite of my original intent.

My adrenaline is flowing as he leans closer to me, my hand sliding down his body, my fingers going to the front of his dungarees and feeling the hardness down there. I giggle, knowing it’s for me. I may be a virgin, but it doesn’t mean I’m an idiot about how this all works.

This has been my dream, my fantasy, a constant through my teenage years and into my young adulthood. The setting may not have been at a rodeo, but that doesn’t matter. What does is that the two of us are here, touching one another, wanting to explore each other.

Where we are is irrelevant. Maybe in my perfect fantasy, it’d be a situation where we could fully explore one another, take our time, and fall asleep in one another’s arms.

But I am not one to let perfect be the enemy of good. I’m going to enjoy this, even if it’s a purely lust and adrenaline-filled moment.

Besides, I don’t think this is something that was going to happen once and never again after we said what we said. If it is? It’s going to be incredibly awkward.
