I reach for my champagne, wanting more of those yummy bubbles, but find my glass empty. Before I can even frown, Enzo pushes his untouched glass into my hand with a laugh. I take it, grinning widely.
As the band strikes up a slow dance song, I grab my husband and drag him to the floor. We dance and kiss and laugh, and though there’s a crowd of other people around us, none of them exist to me except Enzo.
I’m living the life I always dreamt of, and as my husband wraps his hands around my waist and leads me in a waltz around the ballroom, happiness bursts on my tongue, even more delicious than the champagne.
