“You always know when I need it, don’t you?” I ask as he stands, tracing the lines of my lower back with his fingers. My eyes close. I lie there, relishing the moment.
There’s so much to do tomorrow for the kids, the house, some new clients of Rick’s—but right now, none of that matters. Right now, I’m in heaven.
Rick always talks about how lucky he was to walk into Grey’s that night and find me sitting there, wearing a wedding dress I never wanted. But it’s me that’s the lucky one.
He completed me. Helped me realize who I am.
He gave me a real wedding where I was able to wear a real dress that I absolutely adored.
My whole life is thanks to him.
It may be crazy sometimes, and we were just barely scraping by for a while, but it was all worth it.
We still play our little game too, when we can find the time. None of my friends know about it, or Rick’s. It’s just our little thing that we do when we really want to have some fun.
After all, it was our game that brought us together in the first place.
He kisses me twice on the butt, causing me to giggle, then turns me around to face him.
“You’re gonna get me pregnant again, you know.” I raise an eyebrow at him and he just grins.
“I sure as hell hope so.”
I don’t know how I did it, but I found the man of my dreams—or he found me. All that matters is that we’re together. Two pieces that make a whole.
The greatest man alive.
My lover, my protector, my wonderful husband.
