Chapter One

Enrique

I walk out of the hotel and glance around, shading my eyes against the midday sun before I slip my sunglasses on. It’s been a fantastic morning landing a big new deal, and I’m riding the high. I’ve decided to take the afternoon off, and after getting a bite to eat, I’ll head home to relax until tonight’s dinner meeting.

It’s a beautiful day. Madrid has always been my home, but even so, I can appreciate the moments of beauty in its streets, the sun shining from glass windows in modern structures, the crumbling old architecture of the old city, the quaint streets. I slip down a side road away from the main shopping streets and wander a route I know well, heading towards some lesser-known hidden gems of my city where I know I can get a delicious lunch without it being too busy.

It’s as I’m turning down the right street that I see her. A perfect ten body, all curves in all the right places, a large chest, and a voluptuous ass to match. From behind at first, she catches my attention, that ass concealed below a white tennis dress that clings to her, shining bright in the sunlight. She turns around and I get a full look at her, slowing my steps I pretend to glance at the menu of the first place next to me so I can watch her through my sunglasses.

It’s not often a woman has this kind of effect on me. I’ve been single a long time, and that’s how I like it, keeping my focus on work, keeping my business running. But, damn. This girl, with her long blonde hair swinging straight over her shoulders, her pretty face hidden behind huge sunglasses – I can’t help but stop and stare. I just hope I’m not being too obvious.

As I watch her, I realize that she must be lost. She keeps glancing down at her phone, likely checking a map, and turning in a circle. I think about helping her out, getting my hands on that round ass through a series of improbable but lucky encounters across the city. Like we’re starring in our own rom-com.

I can’t help it. I step forward, calling out to her.

“Excuse me, señorita?” I ask. I take a guess that she probably speaks English, judging by the American brands she’s wearing and her confusion. “You need help? You look a little lost.”

She sees me and pulls down her sunglasses, her face full of surprise. “Are… are you Enrique?”

I stop in my tracks. Not because she knows my name, and that might be strange. But because it isn’t weird at all. At the same moment, I recognize her too. She’s older than I remember, and her full figure mouthwateringly womanly. In the time since I last saw her, she’s grown into a woman.

But it’s her, alright. Lily. The daughter of my best friend from when I lived in the States before I came back home to run the family business.

And even knowing who she is, I can’t deny the flash of heat I feel when I see her face, put together the whole picture.

I want her. I want to make her mine.

And that might be a problem.

Chapter Two

Lily

I can’t believe what I’m seeing in front of me. At first, I thought that recognizing his voice might be wishful thinking, but then I saw his face. And I knew. He’s the same man that I remember from years ago, when I was just a young teenager, waving goodbye with my Dad at his going away party.

I remember having a crush on him even back then – I thought of him as Daddy’s handsome friend. But the years don’t seem to have aged him at all.

“Are… are you Enrique?” I ask because it’s just too strange. It can’t possibly be him, can it?

“… Lily?” His response is all the confirmation I need. His jaw hangs open for a moment, and I can sense that he’s just as shocked by our chance meeting as I am.

“I can’t believe it’s you,” I breathe, taking him in. He’s dressed in a black suit and white shirt with a dark blue tie, relaxed a little at the collar, his top button undone. Like he’s just coming from work or something. The suit clings to his tall frame and easily illustrates the muscles in his arms and legs that are hidden under the fabric. He looks fit and healthy, and almost as young as he did the last time I saw him.

But that can’t be right – if I remember correctly, he’s around the same age as my Dad. Even if he’s a little younger, he has to be at least forty. But he looks amazing – his skin is tanned and only lightly lined around his eyes, and his whole body has that sculpted look of a man who takes good care of himself and exercises regularly.
