Elliot slid his hands to Knight’s ass and squeezed. “All mine.”

Knight licked his lips, somewhat flustered, but he put his arm around Elliot and led him out of the room and toward the garages. “Anyway, you remember you promised to help me out with the stones?”

Elliot instantly got more serious. “Yeah. Totally. I can go whenever you need.”

Knight snorted, leading the way into a narrow staircase that would take them to one of the small exits. “Come on, we just need to put them into the dirt. It’s not that serious.”

Elliot looked back at the woman in the hospital gown who started following them a while ago. “Do you see her?”

Knight looked back. “Yeah. She keeps flashing me whenever I’m alone.”

Elliot frowned and looked back again. “Seriously? Go and fuck King, because he won’t be there for much longer!”

The woman disappeared, walking into a wall. The fact that they both now saw the ghosts tied to the clubhouse was yet another thing that made Elliot feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. Some of them were creepy as fuck, but they couldn’t hurt anyone, and their presence was something he only shared with Knight.

“Yeah, that will be awkward. I mean, he tried to kill Beast, but he also treated me well when I was a kid. Hard choices, Elliot,” Knight said, pushing on the door and walking into the crisp air outside. The garage was just a few paces away.

Elliot grabbed his hand and ran his fingertips over the permanently warm sigil. “And only you have the power to make them.”

Knight smirked and stuffed his hand down Elliot’s back pocket, squeezing his ass as they entered the garage. “Very true. Here’s another hard decision. We decided to use your car for parts.”

Elliot stalled. He wasn’t particularly emotionally connected to his car, but it was a vehicle in which he could drive around, and the area around Brecon wasn’t exactly a public transport hub. “Oh. I… I still can’t drive and all that, but I might in a month or so. Is there… something cheap I can get for the parts money?”

Knight snorted and led the way to the other end of the garage where most of the cars were kept. “You’ve got to be joking if you think I’m gonna let you drive some piece of junk that’s gonna fail you in the worst possible situation. You need something stable, with a firm frame, so that you’re safer if an accident happens. This one has barely been used. I had it restored too,” Knight said, gently pushing Eliot toward the pink Corvette, the same one Knight drove on the night when he’d saved Elliot from Martin. “It’s yours.”

Elliot’s lips parted, and his body instantly covered in cold sweat. What did one say to such a conflicting gift? Sure, it was amazing to get a car, and such a glamorous one at that, but… it was pink. Ridiculously pink. He smiled up at Knight, trying to keep his cool. “For real?” Maybe if in a few months his channel got more popular he could get it repainted? Maybe he could cover the shocking bodywork with mud for now?

Knight frowned. “Elliot?”

“Yes?” Elliot kept the smile plastered to his face.

“What color would you like me to repaint it to?”

Elliot exhaled with such relief it felt as if his lungs collapsed. “Oh, my fucking God! I thought you wanted me to drive around in a pink car! I mean, okay, whatever, it’s a quality car, but that wouldn’t be my style. Black, please?” He wrapped his arms around Knight’s waist.

Knight laughed so loudly it echoed throughout the whole garage. “That’s fucking precious. You thought I’d have you drive a girly car?” he asked and pulled Elliot to the passenger door, which he opened for him.

Elliot got in with a wide smile. “You might have not thought about it. And I can imagine some guy liking a pink car, but… yeah, that guy’s not me.”

Knight sighed and closed the door before taking the seat next to Elliot. He clearly didn’t feel self-conscious about driving a pink car once in a while. “We can go out for dinner after we’re done with the stones. How about that?” he asked, slowly pulling out of his parking space.

“Sign me up. Knight… with all the ways you’re supporting me, I feel awkward about asking this, but would you be able to lend me some money? Just for a bit.”

Knight’s brows rose, but he watched the road as he drove between the trees. “Err, do I need to know what for? Are you in trouble?”

Elliot shook his head. “No! I just… I wanted to cover the Fane portrait tattoo, and I don’t wanna wait forever to do it. I hate that it’s still there.”

Knight rubbed Elliot’s thigh. “Sure thing. Don’t you worry about it. I can make an appointment with the best guy around. He did my chest.”
