He finished drying him and pulled the covers up over their naked bodies. He tucked Kell into his chest and threw his thigh over top of him. It put his joint in the perfect position for him to take him from the side in the morning.

The next time Ty woke up it was daybreak. He’d slept well. Peaceful. He didn’t realize how tired he’d been working so hard for Duke. This weekend had been so important and needed in many ways.

But none of that was the issue. Ty was wondering why Kell wasn’t against his body. He checked the bathroom and saw it was dark inside. Waiting a couple of minutes for his wood to go down, he got up to search for him after he was met with continuous silence. He glanced at his watch on the nightstand and saw it was seven forty. In the bathroom, he washed his face and brushed his teeth again then took care of important business. When he came out he threw on a pair of sweats from his bag and left the room. First place he checked was the room they’d already designated as Kell’s meditation space. It was dark and empty. When he cleared the hall, the room brightened naturally from the skylights as the day climbed to its start. The kitchen was dark. Then he saw his heart, swathed in his silky robe, sitting in some cool ass pose on one of their bed pillows, facing the patio door. His hands rested delicately on his knees and his head was slightly slanted up toward the rising sun. Ty watched. So much in love.

The sun was all the way up and Kell was still sitting stone-still in the same position. It had to have been an hour already. His soft face was relaxed, so at peace, his chest barely moving from his sedate breaths. It was inspirational to watch. His partner was a thinker. Ty knew he’d done right by not settling for a woman who didn’t understand him or appreciate his traditions. It could be difficult for a person to respect, if their mind wasn’t open. He hadn’t met anyone who came close to touching him until Brian had saved him and brought him to Kell.

Ty was leaning against the wall staring out of the back door wondering if they should get a nice patio set when he heard Kell’s breathing change. A slow smile started to spread on his lips before he opened his sparkling eyes.

“And how long have you been standing there so quietly?” Kell rose smoothly to his feet and walked over to him. He looked as if he was glowing.

Ty opened his arms, allowing Kell to slide against him with that smooth robe.

“A little while.” He kissed Kell’s forehead. “I woke up wondering why my husband wasn’t in our bed.”

Kell blushed. “I’m not used to sleeping past six. I was coming back to bed.”

“Oh were you? Mmm.” Ty bent and captured Kell’s mouth, sucking his tongue hungrily. Making sure to give him a proper good morning. “Last night was…”

“God, yeah.” Kell sighed, aiming for his mouth again.

Enough said.

“Are we staying here today?” Kell asked him when they broke apart.

“We can do whatever you want. But I’d thought we’d start getting some furniture in here and the rest of your things. I really only had time to prepare the bedroom. I felt all the other rooms could wait.” Ty rubbed his hands up and down Kell’s arms. “We have orange juice, water, and a little food in there… well, actually, I only got you some fruit.”

Kell beamed up at him as if Ty flung the stars into the sky. “You know what I want to do?”

Ty couldn’t help but smile. Name it.

“I want to go grocery shopping,” Kell said with a lot of excitement.

Ty gave him an expressionless stare. “Grocery. Shopping? The day after you get married?”

“Hearing it like that, it does sound a little odd, but yes. I want to buy food!” Kell laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes.

Damn, life with this man was going to be amazing. He had Ty grinning and feeling silly at absolutely nothing.

“I always liked buying groceries. The little I could afford. I loved trying recipes on my apartment’s tiny electric stove.” Kell’s smile started to fade, his face going serious. “Now, my husband gave me an incredible kitchen with a real gas stove and dual ovens. It’s beautiful. I’m excited to use it. I want to cook my husband a meal fit for king tonight.”

Kell would forever take his breath away with just his words. Ty kissed him passionately in the hope of showing him just how he felt about his suggestion. Kell was flooding him with so many gifts, his heart didn’t have room enough to receive them all. It was the perfect way to spend their second day. He’d put away a few boxes in the house while he constantly went into the kitchen and stole kisses as Kell cooked them dinner.
