Me: Sorry, babe. I can’t tonight. How about breakfast? I’ll be at your door first thing in the morning.
Ronan: If that means I get you to myself for the day ... Deal.
Me: See you in the morning.
Ronan
I’m pissed I had to cancel my date with Dean, but the moment Tadhg called to let me know Bujar is back on the grid, I knew I had to handle this situation now. No one threatens my woman and lives to make good on that threat.
Tadhg found out about some meeting Bujar plans to attend tonight. It’s in Brooklyn at some old chop shop. I plan to be there.
I guarantee he’s not leaving that place alive. Because I had to track him down, a conversation isn’t an option any longer. Since I’ll have to go the night without my woman in my arms, I’m going to make it painful.
I’ve been balls deep inside Dean nearly every night since the auction. Not having my fill tonight is going to aggravate me until I have her in my arms again. I find myself anxious when she’s away from me and I still haven’t figured out why. Or should I say I refuse to think about why?
Waking with her lush body pressed to mine has awakened something in me I never thought I’d feel again. I’m becoming more and more possessive of her with each passing day. I enjoy the softer side of her that I don’t believe she shares with anyone else.
“Boss, they’re here. There’s someone already inside. Are ya sure ya don’t want me to come in with ya?” Oisín breaks into my thoughts through the ear comm.
“Aye, I can handle myself. Ya make sure no one else enters,” I reply.
“What about the others already here?”
“This will be their unlucky day. Wrong place, wrong time. They’ll die with them.”
“As ya wish. I’m here if ya need me.”
I give it about fifteen minutes before I climb from my SUV. I want to give it time to see if anyone else arrives, as well as give Bujar time to settle into whatever business he has here. When I see no one else enter and I feel enough time has passed, I hop out with my rifle and move stealthily to the back entrance.
Once I slip inside, I cling to the blind spots. I find a clear view of Dalmat but Bujar is just outside my view. They are talking with two other guys.
A quick glance around allows me to assess the situation. If I take this head-on, they’ll have a chance to fire back. However, I see a better position for a clean shot at Bujar.
I can take the kill and exit the building swiftly. It’s just a few well-timed steps across the way. Suddenly, Bujar takes a few steps forward.
Right as he does, I gain a clear shot. I lift my rifle and aim. I pull the trigger at the same time a loud sound comes from above.
I look on in confusion. As the reality of what I’m seeing begins to make sense in my head, I begin to grow hard. I’m in fucking love.
My woman is standing on top of an engine that’s suspended in the air by chains. She’s dressed in heels, jeans, and a leather jacket. The chains lowering her and the engine are the sound that has my attention. She lands right on top of Bujar.
If my shot didn’t take him out, the engine she just landed on him with has smashed his neck in and crushed his skull. Without a second thought, she lifts a gun and puts a bullet through Dalmat’s head as she steps down from the engine Bujar is now splattered under. I turn my rifle on the guy who suddenly appears, ready to blow his head off, until I realize he’s with her.
He hands her what looks like a backpack, but I know better. It’s the tank of a flamethrower. She straps it on her and turns to the other two.
“So you want a promotion?” She starts. “Do you remember the first time Lyric brought you two around me? You assumed I was just his girl or something.”
“Lyric, son. What’s this about?” One of the two says.
“I’m talking to you,” Danika snarls. “Don’t say another fucking word to him. You had your time to talk to him. Like when you should have been telling him about the extra cargo you were adding to your shipments for these pieces of shit.
“The disrespect and disloyalty on you two. Did you really think you’d get away with that shit?”
“Yo, who the fuck is this bitch?” The other one snarls.
Danika tilts her head to the side with a grin on her lips. There’s this crazed look in her eyes I can see through my scope that’s turning me on. Releasing a maniacal laugh, she points the flamethrower.
