It was one of the things we discussed when the tub was full, he turned the jets on, dumped some bath oil in, something he told me was his mom’s doing, and helped me get inside. I thought I was inside a romance novel when he was taking care of me, but when he told me to scoot forward so he could slide in behind me, I knew Braxton was more than I could ever ask for. I never would have thought this rough and tough alpha would take care of me so completely. After we both started yawning, we got out, dried off, and Braxton grunted, “I don’t want anything on your body except me when we’re in bed.” That statement caused me to launch myself at him. He saw it coming, picking me up by my waist as I wrapped my legs around his middle. The underside of his length pressing against my center, making me want him again, and Braxton wasn’t kidding about wanting me again and again. After taking me once more, he cleaned me up, got back in bed beside me, and we fell asleep together.

That’s why, when I wake up and notice Braxton’s nowhere to be found, I feel the bed sheets beside me. They’re cold to the touch.

“He must have been up with the roosters,” I grumble when I look at the alarm clock on the nightstand. Braxton is such an old man, though that’s not something I’d say to his face. Knowing him, he’d turn me on my stomach and spank me. Not that that’s much of an issue. When he did it last night, it was unbelievably amazing. My legs rub together, easing the ache that’s already building while I think about everything we did last night.

“I see someone has decided to wake up.” I look up from staring at the ceiling while my head rests on the pillow, my hands languidly running up and down my sides in a soothing pattern.

“Good morning. Lie with me?” I ask, my voice still raspy with sleep.

“Morning. Glad to.” I see he’s wearing a pair of boxer briefs molded to his body and nothing else, his hair a mess from my gripping it last night every time he was deep inside me or teasing me while tracing the pattern of my tattoo on my lower hip until he tasted me.

“What have you been up to?” I ask as he maneuvers me so his arm is under my head, pulling me into his side. I place my hand on his chest, wanting to feel his heartbeat beneath my palm. Warm skin meets my hand, causing me to settle in. Braxton’s olive skin tone is darker compared to mine but just as smooth. His hand finds mine, our fingers locking together.

“Had something to do out in the garage. A part came in for the Bronco, and I wanted to make sure it was the right one. It’s the second time I’ve had to deal with this company. Last time, they got it wrong.” His hands play with the ends of my hair, almost lulling me back to sleep.

“Do you need help working on the Bronco?” I lift my head up, getting excited about working with him on it.

“If you want. It’ll be here at the house. If I open up one bay at the garage, I’ll have half the town coming in to ask questions, then I won’t be able to have a day with just you and me.” He lifts his head, our lips meeting. He’s brushed his teeth and I haven’t. I pull back thinking there’s no way we should be doing this until I brush my teeth.

“Morning breath.” I move my hand towards my mouth.

“Not happening. Not giving a shit about morning breath when all I can think about is having a taste of you. Coming in here, seeing you tangled in my sheets, feeling your bare skin on mine, it’s all I need.” Braxton’s hand delves into the locks of my hair, slowly licking my lips, before our tongues meet and our kiss consumes us. His other hand palms my breast, his thumb gliding over my pebbled nipple.

“Braxton.” I’m breathless. Words are beyond me as I attempt to climb on top of him. He stops me in my tracks, still kissing me the entire time, but it leaves me yearning for more.

“I know what you want, and I’ll give it to you, but first I’m going to take care of you.” He groans before coming down on top of me, giving me one more kiss, and then he kisses a path down the length of my body, never letting me doubt for a minute he’ll be giving me what my body yearns for. Much like I’ll be returning the favor, this time until I taste him completely.
