I cry out, but my sound is instantly stifled by his rough palm clamped down over my mouth. Something comes alive inside me—somehow this turns me on even more. I scream into the callused flesh pressed down on my lips. My orgasm amplifies, rolling over me like waves of fire, causing my back to arch and my hips to buck like a bucking bronco.

I’m completely out of control, and Cane has to press the full weight of his body down on top of me to keep me from coming out of the seat.

“Goddamn you’re one sexy little bitch, aren’t you?”

What? What did he just call me?

I should be offended, right? I totally should. The feminist inside me is screaming to be offended as that single word strikes through my chest like a dagger. But for some reason I’m not. In fact, all this does is turn me on more.

Yes, call me more names, Daddy. Degrade me. Make me yours!

I moan deeply into his hand as the last of my orgasm rolls through me like blissful, torturous waves, and then I feel every one of my walls come tumbling down.

Every muscle in my body goes limp. With a heavy sigh, I slump back against the seat, my head lolls to the side, and I begin gasping for breath as Cane slowly removes his hand and gently strokes my hair.

“That’s it,” he purrs, his voice low. “That’s my girl.”

“You…you’re more incredible that you look,” I pant. “I can’t believe we just did that…on the bus.”

Cane chuckles. “Speaking of which, your stop is coming up.”

“Oh God.” I fumble with my skirt, pulling it back down. “Thank God I’m not wearing pants. There’s no way I could…do the…the things…you know?”

I move my hands between my thighs and mime the motion of putting my pants back on, but my brain is still spinning, and I can’t find the right words.

“The buttons?” Cane suggests.

“Yes.” I snap my fingers. “Those things.”

As the bus begins to slow, I look up to see Cane smiling and doing something on his phone. Suddenly, a million horrible thoughts race through my mind, sobering me up quick.

“Oh God…” I say. “You’re not texting your wife, are you? Your girlfriend? Your fiancée—?”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, relax,” Cane laughs as he puts his phone away and gets to his feet. The bus comes to a stop, and he takes my hand and helps me up. “I don’t have any of those things. I was just making some arrangements.”

I have no reason to believe him, but I choose to.

“Phew, okay,” I sigh as I take my bag and walk to the door. I catch the bus driver’s eye in the rearview mirror.

Did he see us? Does he know what we were up to?

Hiding my smile, I turn to Cane, fearing we’re about to face an awkward goodbye, but to my surprise, he seems to be ready to get off with me.

“This is…your stop too?”

“I guess you could say that.” He smiles. “For today.”

Before I can reply, he seizes me firmly by the waist, lifts me into the air, and carries me off the bus into the night.

“Oh God,” I say, beginning to panic. “You’re not coming over to my apartment, are you? You—you can’t! It’s tiny and gross, and I haven’t cleaned and—”

“Mari!” The volume of his voice is enough to shut me up. He sets me down and I turn to face him. “Would you calm down? You remember a moment ago I said I was making arrangements?”

“Y-yes…” The bus pulls away, and not a second later, a black sedan, obviously worth an incredible amount of money, pulls up at the curb.

“Well, those arrangements were for you coming to live with me.”

“For—for what?”

The driver’s side door opens, and a man in a gray suit steps out.

“Good evening, Mr. Emery,” the man says as he comes around and opens the door for us with a slight head nod that almost comes off as a bow.

“Paul,” Cane replies, then motions for me to get in.

My heart is racing. This can’t possibly be happening. I’ve slipped into a dream or a fairy tale as a result of that orgasm Cane gave me. At any moment I’m going to wake up back on the bus with him gone and me about to get off at my stop…

…right?

Maybe that’s the case. But for right now, why not ride it out and see where this leads me?

“Live with you?” I ask my fairytale prince.

“That’s right.” He smiles proudly. “You said you lost your job and don’t know where your next rent check’s coming from, right? Well, if you think I’m going to just stand by and let that happen, then you’re as crazy as Pesky Pete back there. So come on and get in the car, Mari, or do I have to kidnap you?”
