“You don’t own me, Luca.” I shoved his hands off me. “I will do whatever the hell I want.”

My brother stormed through the crowd, throwing his weight into Luca as he ripped me from his grasp. Aiden got in his face, his top lip quivering like a dog ready to attack.

“Stay the fuck away from my sister, Salvatore. She doesn’t want you. Get that through your thick skull.”

Luca released a wicked cackle that sent a shiver down my arms. “Tell me, Aiden, whose cock was she riding less than a minute ago?”

My brother glanced at me. “Lexie?”

Everyone had a different nickname for me.

I threw up my hands and shrugged. “I was just messing around. You know I don’t like him like that.”

“The fuck you don’t,” Luca hissed. “Your soaked bikini bottoms say otherwise.”

My cheeks flushed, making it impossible to look at my brother, who was waiting for me to defend myself. At least it was dark enough outside that no one could confirm Luca’s comment. I could not control how my body responded to his, even when he was mean and unforgiving. A part of me loved the darkness inside him because my demons wanted to play with his.

“I don’t like you, Luca.” I crossed my arms over my chest, afraid I would lose my nerve if I didn’t speak fast enough. “We only come to your parties because your dad threatens our grandfather.”

Luca could have leveled an entire football field with his stare. He gritted his teeth. “You can deny it all you want. If it makes you feel empowered, go right the fuck ahead, but we both know whose cock you’ll be riding for the rest of your miserable life.”

I moved my hands to my hips and glared at him. “My life is only miserable when you’re in it.”

A few people gasped, whispers spreading like wildfire. Aiden grabbed my arm and steered me away from Luca’s table.

“Where the fuck do you think you’re going?” Luca yelled.

Blowing out a deep breath, I prepared myself for the showdown. I angled my body so I could see his face. “Back to Providence. This is your world, Luca, not ours.”

We were leaving in the morning, so Luca slapped together a last-minute party to send us on our way. The party was a ruse to get me to the Salvatore Estate. This crazy asshole had to see me again before I left for my final year at RISD with Aiden.

“You’re a Wellington,” Luca shot back. “This is your world, too. And you belong at my side.”

“I will never belong to anyone but myself.”

Luca smirked. “You’re already mine.”

The girls dancing on the table jumped down, making a lot of noise that diverted our attention. They found places on the laps of Bastian, Damian, and Marcello Salvatore. As if on cue, the Salvatore boys slid their chairs back and opened their legs. All three of them howled with laughter as the girls fell to the ground at their feet.

“Get lost, Chelsea,” Bastian told the blonde with huge tits and zero body fat. “And while you’re at it, go find Ella for me. You’re out. Tell Ella she’s wetting my cock tonight.”

He smacked her ass, and she squealed with delight before scampering off like a wounded animal. The other girls were red-faced and snarling at me like I was the reason the Salvatore brothers didn’t want them. They treated women like shit. Regardless of their billions, why would any woman want them?

Luca gripped Aiden’s bicep, his teeth clenched as he glared at him. “Get in my way again, and the Coast Guard will find you in pieces, floating in the bay.”

“Threaten me all you want, but you will never get my sister.” Aiden threw his weight into Luca’s chest. “Over my dead body.”

Luca’s eyes flickered with pure insanity. “So be it.”

We boarded a black jet that said Salvatore Global on the side in gold letters. The large cabin had a long, black leather bench, a wooden table with four comfy chairs, and a bedroom.

I took an aisle seat across from Marcello and dropped my messenger bag into the chair by the window. He held his cell phone, head down, as his long fingers raced across the keypad. To steady my shaky hands, I clasped them together on my lap and stared out the window. Lights illuminated a path to the landing strip. Men in reflective vests prepared for our takeoff.

Anger bubbled up inside me. Who the hell did Luca think he was? I’d put up with a lot of shit from him over the years and wanted to punch him in his smug face. Furious, I fished my cell phone from my bag and typed a quick text to Luca.

You send your brother to do your dirty work. Coward.

A minute later, Marcello’s phone dinged, and he read the message with a groan. He shook his head, then held out his palm. “Give it to me.”
