“No.” He kisses my lips. “It’s just new to me. Usually, women can’t wait to call TMZ to make it media-official—even if there’s nothing to announce.”

“That’s not me.”

“I know that.”

I could lie here all night, so I make myself sit up and search for the clothes that Vaughn threw all over the bedroom.

He rises to his elbows and doesn’t even try to hide the fact that he’s checking me out while I get dressed.

Not that I mind.

“I suppose you’ll be working all week,” Vaughn says.

“I’m in the office Monday through Friday,” I confirm. “And I usually work from home on the weekends.”

“You need to live a little.”

I laugh and tug on my shoes. “I live plenty.”

“I’d like to spend some evenings with you.”

My heart skips a beat when my eyes meet his. “I’d like that, too.”

“Okay, then.”

He stands and tugs on his jeans but doesn’t bother to fasten them or even put on a shirt.

“You’re just going to walk around like that?”

“No one else is here.”

I blink at him.

“I’m going to take a shower after you leave. Although, if you want to stay—”

“I have to go.” I hold up a hand, making him laugh. “I really have to go. You’ll have to fend for yourself in the shower.”

“Bummer.” He laughs and follows me downstairs to the door. After a long, lingering kiss, I manage to walk out to my car, start it, and head down the driveway.

I see Vaughn in the rearview, his arms crossed over his bare chest. He grins when I wave at him.

It should be illegal to look like that.

“You haven’t been around much,” my dad says as we wrap up our weekly meeting.

“What do you mean?”

“Just that. We haven’t seen much of you lately. What’s up?”

Oh, you know, I’m just having sex with a movie star every second I can.

I’ve seen Vaughn every day this week.

Of course, I’m not going to tell my dad that.

“I don’t know. I guess I’ve just been busy.”

Dad narrows his eyes on me. I’m not a good liar. Never was. This man can smell a lie from thirty paces.

And, right now, I’m sitting approximately two paces away from him.

“I have,” I insist. “Nothing major or exciting. What’s going on with you and Mom?”

“Nothing major or exciting,” he echoes. “You know, you can talk to me about anything, right? Anything at all.”

And here we go with the guilt trip. “Yeah, I know.”

“I’ve been thinking about Christmas,” he begins, and I laugh. “What?”

“Christmas is like, three months away.”

“And with a family like ours, we have to plan ahead. You know that. Anyway, I think the entire Montgomery clan is going to Iceland for Christmas.”

I narrow my eyes. “That’s roughly fourteen thousand people.”

“I’m aware. We’ve talked about doing something big with the whole gang for a long time. If we start planning now, we can make it work with everyone’s schedules.”

“Iceland, huh?”

“It’s beautiful. You’ll like it.”

“Sounds cold in December. But okay.” I shrug, kind of intrigued by the idea. “I’m in.”

“Excellent.”

Movement at the doorway has us both looking up, and my stomach jitters at the sight of Vaughn.

And then it falls to my feet.

“Vaughn,” Dad says in surprise. He smiles and stands to shake Vaughn’s hand. “Good to see you. You’ve met my daughter, Olivia.”

Vaughn smiles, but his green gaze flies to mine, and I have to swallow the lump in my throat.

Shit.

Chapter 7

~Vaughn~

His daughter?

I’ve been boning my boss’s daughter every chance I get?

Luke Williams is not just the producer of the movie I was hired to star in, he’s also the owner of the entire production company. He’s one of the most powerful men in the business.

I’ve admired him since I was a kid, and being hired for this job was a big deal for me.

And now I’m having sex with his daughter.

“We’ve met,” I confirm. “Although, I didn’t realize she was your daughter.”

Olivia’s eyes close, and Luke smiles at me. “She doesn’t like to announce it to the world around here. But, yes, she’s my kid. You must be here for a fitting, so I’ll see myself out. Have a good day, Liv.”

“See you later,” Liv replies, and we stand in silence until the door closes behind Luke. “Um, hi.”

“Hello.” I pace in front of her desk and watch her. I know her body as intimately as I know mine. Her laugh tickles my dreams. Her lips are a miracle from God.

And yet, I just found out that I don’t know her at all.

“So, you’re mad,” she begins, and I hold up a hand, stopping her.

“I haven’t decided what I am,” I reply honestly. “I mean, I knew that sleeping with the costume designer was a slight conflict of interest, but now I find out that you’re my boss’s daughter. That is for damn sure a conflict of interest.”

She winces and bites her lip. “Why?”
