My brows pull, and I roll so I’m half on his chest. “What do you mean?”
“You were sick. I couldn’t be there to take care of you, but she took the time to make you soup, not once but twice, and she brought it to you without a soul asking her to. I couldn’t not say thank you.”
“But you didn’t even sign the card.”
He shrugs. “It’s not about the recognition. She went out of her way, and it was the least I could do.”
“You have no idea what those flowers mean to her.”
He runs his knuckle across my lower lip, lifting to kiss me. “I think I do.”
“I think I want to do nasty, nasty things to you to show you what it means to me.”
He grips my ass, hauling me up until I’m settling over his hard-on. “Well, go on, real girlfriend. Show me what you’ve got.”
I do.
And then I do it again.
It’s crazy how much has happened over the last three years at Avix University.
I, for one, cannot wait to see what our last year brings.
