“What did you do that for?” My incredulous tone has him chuckling.

“When I’m with you, I want it to be because you said yes, not because you’re tired and in need of release. And the moment I drive my fingers inside that tight little cunt, you’ll beg for it.” With that, he flashes me a cocky grin and turns, leaving me a trembling mess.

Fuck this. The door clicks and I toe off my shoes, running toward the entrance. Swinging the door open, I race up the stairs to the drive. He’s just slipping into the driver’s seat of his Mustang when I reach him. He lowers the window and watches me. We’re in a stand off, just staring at each other. “Yes.” I don’t know why, and I don’t know how this is going to work, but I want it to.

“You sure about that, Baby Doll?”

I nod.

“You asked, I said yes.” Placing my hands on my hips, I watch the wicked glint in his eye. I can only imagine all the sinful thoughts running through his mind right now.

“Good, I’ll see you tomorrow at seven.” He starts the car and it roars to life. Everything about him is sexy, even his goddamn car. He pulls out of my drive and turns down the street, leaving me achy and needy. I hate this feeling. I’d rather he just took me right there on the hood of his shiny car.

I head back into the house and lock up. I’ll have to take care of myself tonight. But tomorrow, all bets are off. That man and his fingers will have to keep his promises.

As soon as I got home last night I jumped in the shower to relieve the tension caused by Jasmine Archer. “Hey man, what’s up with you?” I turn to Xander and shrug. He’s been my partner for far too long for me to hide the fact that I’m smitten. And the look he gives me tells me exactly that. “Don’t give me that it’s nothing shit. Did you get laid last night?” He chuckles, flopping into his chair.

“No, I did not get laid last night.” I pull up the file I was working on and try to ignore my partner, but he’s not one to give up easily.

“Did she turn you down?” The question irks me more than I care to admit because she didn’t necessarily refuse me, but she didn’t ask me to stay.

I sigh and lean back, meeting the green stare of my partner. The man is a walking fucking GQ ad and whenever we go out, there is always an abundance of women around him. They’re like flies on shit. I told him that once and he punched me. I, in turn, returned the favor and since then, we’ve been best friends.

“No, she agreed to dinner tonight.”

This grabs his attention because he leans forward and waits for more, which I don’t give him. “Come on, man, I need info. The famous Dane Brawley is taking a girl on a date? Or did you mean she agreed that you could have dinner?” He waggles his eyebrows and I know exactly what he means. As much as I’d love to eat her until she’s screaming my name, I figured I’d wine and dine her first.

“Both. I think I can take her to dinner and then show her how a real man feasts.” His laugh is loud, which echoes through the station, and we get some strange looks from the other officers. They all know we’re the jokers of the precinct.

“So who’s the lucky girl?” I stare him down, knowing that as soon as I mention her name, he’ll be all over this. “Don’t hold out on me, bro.”

“Jasmine.” I turn away and stare at my screen, but I can feel his eyes on me. Burning a hole right through my fucking face.

“No fucking way. The Jasmine?” I nod. “Holy shit, I’d love to tap that pert little ass. Fuck, dude. You need to tell me every detail.”

“I’m not telling you shit, man. She’s all mine, and I’m going to enjoy every smooth, soft inch. So you can forget it right now.” I can’t help chuckling at him. Yeah there have been times we’ve gone into detail about a girl we’ve been with. But for some reason, I want this little star all to myself.

Pulling up to the enormous estate, I notice the little sports car parked in her drive. Lowering my window, I reach out and push the buzzer. Moments later, that sweet voice comes through the speaker. “Dane, I’ll open the gate in a sec.”

“Thanks, Baby Doll.” The sleek steel gate slides open and I pull in behind her. I exit my car and head toward the front door, which is already cracked. The house smells like freshly baked cake, or cookies as I enter.
