“Dana?” Drake said again, swaying as Lucky released his shirt.

“I think I want to go home.”

“I’ll drive you,” he said immediately. But Dana shook her head.

“No,” she said firmly. “You are not in any condition to drive. And I need some… time. To think.”

“We got you,” Janet said before Drake could protect. Jack immediately jogged over. The big guy hadn’t even had a sip of alcohol, as usual. He grabbed the keys to one of his many, many oversized vehicles from his wife and opened the doors for Dana and Janet.

They piled into the massive pickup truck and took off without another word.

That was it.

Drake stormed into the house and came out again with a full bottle of Jack Daniels. No one said a peep. No one had the balls to poke the bear. He hadn’t touched alcohol in weeks. But not one of us dared to ask him what the hell he was doing with his poor life decisions as he strode off into the woods.

“I guess we won’t be seeing him for a while,” Kaylie said with a worried glance.

We’ll keep an eye on him,” Mac offered.

“Us, too,” Lucky said, still gushing blood from various parts of his body. His wife rolled her eyes but nodded.

“Perfect,” I said, grabbing my wife around the waist. “Because we have to go.”

“We do?” Molly asked sweetly, looking utterly adorable in her confusion. Damn, but I loved taking my woman by surprise!

“Oh yes,” I said with authority. “I need to be alone with you. Now,” I said in a slightly softer tone. “That Florence Nightingale act really turned me on.”

“Callaway!” She protested. But she was smiling as I dragged her to our SUV like a caveman dragging his mate back to their cave. “The sitter is at home waiting for us!”

“That’s why we aren’t going home…” I whispered in a meaningful tone. I held open the door for her and smacked that ass as she climbed in, eliciting another squealed ‘Cal’ from my insanely beautiful wife.

I peeled off and turned the wrong way, away from the main roads. I headed down the private road, taking a turn onto an offshoot that hadn’t been developed yet. No one would come down here. No one would hear us, either. No matter how loud we moaned.

“Now,” I said, putting the car in park. “Let’s get you out of those pesky clothes.”

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Molly

“What?” I asked, looking around. We were parked in the woods, a couple of miles from Dev and Kaylie’s house. It was broad daylight and my husband was trying to get me to fool around with him in our car. “You want to… do that? Here?”

“Hmmm hmmm… right here. Right now,” he said, running a finger along my arm in a way that gave me goosebumps. He knew all too well how to turn me on, damn him. It didn’t take much. I was still as attracted to him as I was the day we met. “It will be fun. I promise.”

“It’s not… private,” I countered, simultaneously tempted and embarrassed by the idea. “And not that comfortable.”

He smiled and reached past me to adjust my seat. I heard a thump and blinked. Suddenly I was on my back, staring up at the closed sunroof.

“And there is always the backseat. That’s pretty roomy,” he said in a husky voice as he climbed on top of me. “Billions of teenagers can’t be wrong,” he added, breathing directly into my ear.

I couldn’t help the shiver of anticipation that his words sent racing through my body. I was completely ready for him, just like that. My man always did that to me.

All it took was a touch, or a word, or a look.

Every. Single. Time.

He stared down at me for a hot minute. He licked his lips, looking a lot like a cartoon wolf that was contemplating making a meal out of Little Red Riding Hood. He smiled slowly before grasping my chin and pulling my mouth open. Then he dove forward, licking and sucking at my mouth with an unquenchable thirst. I kissed him back, always a little bit shyer than my brazen husband, my inhibitions swept away by his passion. I was nowhere as experienced as he was, but he was just as turned on by my touch and I was by his.

Whatever they meant by ‘chemistry’ in the history books, we had it.

Oh boy, did we ever.

His hands were all over me, seeking, touching, stroking, pinching…

“Ouch!” I said indignant, giving him a dirty look.

He just chuckled and unbuttoned my dress down the front. I had made things very easy for him, I realized. Not that that was a bad thing… I sighed in pleasure as he tugged my bra down and licked my nipples. I writhed as his fingers found my cleft and stroked me lightly, through the panties at first, before delving under the thin cotton and exploring my folds.
